How does the hose connect? There are no clips or anything...
The inside surface of the holder has threads that help to hold the Airconditioner exhaust hose. The threads are visible in the photograph.
How does the connecting piece between the hose and the wall secure to the wall if it's placed between the studs?
The flange, which has predrilled holes in its rim, is designed to be screwed directly onto the finish surface of the wall. This secure attachment ensures that the connecting piece remains in place. By aligning the flange with the desired location on the wall, inserting screws through the predrilled holes, and tightening them, the flange is securely mounted. If the AC and hose connect on the inside of the flange can you connect another vent hose on the outside of the flange on the other side of the wall?
The inside hose needs to be 6.5 inches and the outside hose needs to be 6 inches. Using this configuration 2 hoses can be connected.

What is recommended to connect the inside and outside flanges?
Flanges will screw in to the wall. There is also a rubber ring attached. You can also use caulking to better attach it to the wall or around it.
